KANSAS CITY, Mo. - On Thursday, the United Soccer Coaches announced its Team Academic Award winners at the collegiate level to recognize exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2018-19 academic year. The Juniata College women's soccer team was named to the list.
Juniata was one of 647 women's programs to earn the honor. The recipients must have a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2018-19 school year. The Eagles finished the year with a 3.52 GPA.
Six Landmark schools in total were named academic squads by the organization. Catholic, Goucher, Elizabethtown, Scranton, and Susquehanna were also honorees for the conference.
