LATROBE, Pa.- The Juniata women's soccer team defeated St. Vincent, 2-1, on a rainy Tuesday afternoon.

St. Vincent was first to get on the board in the 32nd minute after a Juniata foul and a penalty kick was awarded to St. Vincent. In the final minute of the first half, Juniata tied up the game with a goal of their own. After a Bearcat foul, the ball was kicked in by Kristin Racis (Womelsdorf, Pa. / Conrad Weiser) and passed to Wynter Adams (Houtzdale, Pa. / Moshannon Valley) who headed the ball into the net. 

In the second half in the 56th minute, Caroline Braas (Lancaster, Pa. / Manheim Township) kicked in a corner kick for the game winning goal. 

The Eagles held an edge in shots, 25-8, and in corners, 7-3. Gianna Canale (Egg Harbor City, N.J. / Cedar Creek High School) made two saves in the first half while Racis went into net for the Eagles, and made one save to help perserve the victory. 

Juniata returns to action this Saturday, September 29th as they will travel to Elizabethtown for a conference game starting at 4:00 PM.
