Eagles Score 12, Tied for Second-Most in Program History

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata College women's soccer team dominated Wilson College, 12-0, on Tuesday afternoon at Gibbel Stadium.

Anna Kauffman (Palmyra, Pa. / Palmyra Area), Wynter Adams (Houtzdale, Pa. / Moshannon Valley), Lydia Gladfelter (York, Pa. / Central York), and Aubrie Christensen (Suwanee, Ga. / Manheim Township) each scored two goals. Meadow Walshaw-Wertz (Sunbury, Pa. / Line Mountain), Autumn Adams (Houtzdale, Pa. / Moshannon Valley), Samantha Bromley (Winder, Pa. / Forest Hills), and Mary-Claire Sei (San Gabriel, Calif. / Gabrielino) each tallied one goal for the game. Jessica Zavadak (Lebanon, Pa. / Cedar Crest), Christensen, W. Adams, Kauffman , and Paige Bulgarelli (York, Pa. / York Suburban) each tallied one assist. Brooke Rotheram (Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin East) and Alexis Ulrich (Middletown, Pa. / Middletown Area HS) each tallied two assists for the game.

In the first half, Kauffman netted her two goals minutes apart. Walshaw-Wertz, W. Adams, A. Adams all found the back of the net later on before Gladfelter pushed the lead to 7-0 with two goals of her own to close the half.

In the second half, the Eagles tallied five more goals to finish with 12 for the game. In the 48th minute, Christensen scored. Minutes later, Christensen scored again followed by W.Adams in the 59th minute. A minute later, Bromley scored the Eagles 11th goal of the game, and Sei made it 12.

The Eagles had 55 shots and 10 corner kicks. Walshaw-Wertz, A. Adams, Gladfelter, and Sei scored their first career goals. Bromley scored her first goal of the season. Zavadak, Rotheram, and Ulrich had their first career assist. W. Adams had her first assist on the season.

Juniata tied their program record with the second-most goals scored in a game with 12.

The Eagles return to conference play at Moravian on Saturday at 1:00.
