HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Aubrie Christensen (Suwanee, GA/ Manheim Township) tallied her third goal of this young season in the 73rd minute to lead the Eagles past the Gators of Allegheny College Saturday afternoon at Gibbel Stadium.
Christensen was assisted on her goal by freshman Meadow Walshaw-Wertz (Sunbury, Pa./ Line Mountain).
"A quality win against a high-quality opponent. The effort from everyone on the roster during training this week and today in the match earned this good result. Kaleigh, Jason, and I couldn't be happier for them," said head coach Scott McKenzie post-match.
In an even matchup, Juniata outshot the Gators 8-7 for the match and had a 3-0 advantage in corner kicks. Kerry Leonard (Cockeysville, MD/ Maryvale Prep.) made 5 saves in net for the Eagles while earning the shutout
Juniata returns into action at York College on Wednesday September 20th at 4:00.
