Women’s Soccer Shutout by Kings

HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The Juniata College women's soccer team fell 2-0 to the visiting Monarchs of King's College, Saturday evening at Gibbel Stadium.

King's scored the opening goal 17 minutes in the first half, when a Monarch midfielder got to a loose ball in the box and fired it in. Juniata dominated the rest of the half, causing three corners and taking five shots, but they couldn't find the back of the net.

Nine minutes into the second half, the same Monarchs midfielder who scored in the first half fired in a long-range effort to double their lead. The Eagles battled to try and find an equalizer, but they couldn't find a crack in the defense.

Juniata held an 11-4 edge in shots taken.

The Eagles return to action, Tuesday at Mt. Aloysius at 4:00.
