Eagles Make Strong Effort Against Pitt-Bradford But Fall 0-2

BRADFORD, PA – Despite a strong offensive effort, the Juniata women's soccer team fell 0-2 to the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Wednesday afternoon.

Kerry Leonard (Cockeysville, MD / Marybale Prep) started in goal for the Eagles and recorded three saves against the Panthers.

Kaitlyn Donnelly and Jamie Christensen each scored for Pitt-Bradford. Donnelly's goal came in the 16th minute to put the Panthers up 1-0. Christensen's insurance goal followed a penalty kick in the second half. Leonard defended the penalty kick but the Panthers took the rebound into the back of the net.

Juniata held a 17-11 advantage in total shots and a 10-5 advantage in shots on goal.  

Aubrie Christensen (Litiz, PA / Manheim Township) led the offense with three shots and two shots on goal.

Juniata faces King's College (PA) Saturday Sept. 12 at 3:30PM on the Winton Hill Field.
