Women’s Soccer Shuts Down Mt. Aloysius, 3-0

CRESSON, PA- The Juniata women's soccer team scored three times in the first half and halted its four-game winless streak with a 3-0 victory over Mount Aloysius on Wednesday afternoon. The win moves the Eagles to 5-8-2 overall while the Mounties fall to 7-9.

 

The Eagles got their first goal in the seventh minute when Lillian Dudek (Downingtown, PA/Upattinas School) connected with Devin Kos (Bellefonte, PA/Bellefonte Area). Seven minutes later, Dudek would score one of her own to make it 2-0 JC.  The scoring ended in the 31st minute on a Yoselin Milloy (Silver Springs, MD/James Hubert Blake) to Emily Green (Marietta, PA/Donegal) goal.

 

JC led in shots 13-5 with 11 of those coming on goal for the Eagles. Kos led the way with five overall shots and four of those on goal. Both teams had four corner kicks.

 

Erin Mueller (Bedford, PA/Bedford) and Shannon Kriz (Breinigsville, PA/Parkland) both shared time in goal for the Eagles. Mueller had three saves while Kriz did not record any. Mountie goalkeeper Zara Apakoh had eight saves.

 

Juniata returns to Winton Hill Field to host Goucher in a Landmark Conference match on Saturday. Game time will at 3:30 p.m.
