Women’s Soccer Falls to Elizabethtown

ELIZABETHTOWN, PA- The Juniata women's soccer team did not get the outcome it desired as it fell to Elizabethtown 3-0 on the road on Saturday afternoon. The loss drops the Eagles to 4-7-2 overall and 1-2-1 in the Landmark. The Blue Jays improve to 10-3 overall and 3-1 in the Landmark.

 

The Blue Jays scored just over two minutes into the first half to take a 1-0 lead. That advantage stood until the 52nd minute when Kacey Cerankowski scored off a loose ball in the corner to make it 2-0 in favor of E-Town. One minute and 10 seconds later, Kara Weller scored unassisted to give the Blue Jays a 3-0 advantage.

 

Elizabethtown led in shots 25-5. Lauren Liacouras (Collegeville, PA/Perkiomen Valley) had three of Juniata's shots to lead the team. The Blue Jays also had a wide margin in corner kicks, 10-2.

 

Kerry Leonard (Cockeysville, MD/Maryvale Prep) had eight saves for the Eagles in goal. Dana Robidoux stopped just one shot for E-Town.
