GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Juniata College women's soccer team had its record-setting season come to an end in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) South Division III Women's Soccer Championship quarterfinals, 6-0, at the hands of Grove City College. The Eagles finished out the year an overall 14-6, setting a new program record for wins in a season, conference wins in a season (4), and total goals scored (55).

Grove City came out hot from the first whistle and scored three goals on three shots in the first eight minutes of play. At the end of the match, the two teams were even in saves with six per side and Grove City just edged out Juniata in the corner kick battle 2-1.

"We picked a bad day to have a bad game," said head coach Scott McKenzie. "Hats off to Grove City for playing a great game. I wanted our six seniors to have a better end to their careers and I feel like I didn't do well by them today. We need to be better and that starts with me. That process begins immediately."

The game marked the final contest for six seniors on the Eagles squad. Jennifer Graves (Manchester, Conn./Manchester), Rose Lucidi (Bayville, N.Y./Locust Valley), Paula Pryor (Westbrookville, N.Y./Burke Catholic), Jenna Rodrigue (Manchester, Conn./Manchester), Molly Sellars (Caldwell, N.J./Caldwell), and Alicia Snyder (Jonestown, Pa./Northern Lebanon) have won the most games of any four-year class in Juniata women's soccer history with an overall record of 37-31-3.
