Rodrigue named Juniata’s first Landmark POW of Fall season

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata women's soccer forward Jenna Rodrigue (Manchester, Conn./Manchester) was named Juniata's first Landmark Conference Player of the Week for the fall season, released Tuesday afternoon.

Rodrigue claimed the league's women's soccer offensive player of the week honors for her scoring performance against Thiel College on Saturday, September 1.

She was responsible for the first goal of the match and the only goal Juniata would need to win when she headed the ball into the back of Thiel's net off a corner kick in the 26th minute. Later in the game, in the 50th minute, Rodrigue accepted a pass from Paula Pryor (Westbrookville, N.Y./Burke Catholic) and shot it past the keeper for her second goal of the season.

Juniata women's soccer resumes play against Keystone College on Saturday, September 7, at 4:00 p.m. in La Plume, Pa.
