Mark Mahon

Mark Mahon

    Assistant Coach

From 2013 – 15, Mahon served as the head girls’ lacrosse coach at State College Area High School. During his three seasons at the helm, he led the team to its only state playoff quarterfinal appearance and produced two US Lacrosse All-Americans, one Brine All-American, nine conference first-team all stars (including one goalie), and mentored nine players into the college ranks. In 2013, Mahon was named the conference coach of the year and coached the western and central PA US Lacrosse National Tournament teams in 2014 and 2015 respectively.

Mahon earned his PhD and MS degrees in engineering from Pennsylvania State University where he currently serves as a graduate and undergraduate faculty member as well as the undergraduate adviser all in the Computer Science and Engineering Department. He earned his BS degree in engineering and graduated with honors from the University of Scranton and originally hails from Northeastern PA.

Mahon currently resides in Port Matilda with his wife, Karen, and has two daughters, both of whom played at the collegiate level.
