ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.-The Juniata women's lacrosse team suffered a 16-2 defeat at the hands of Elizabethtown, Saturday afternoon at Wolf Field. 

The Blue Jays tallied five goals in the first 12 minutes to build up a 6-0 lead. The home team struck four more times over the next eight minutes as they led 10 nothing. Neither team scored the rest of the way as JC trailed by 10 at the half. 

Talia Bertrando (Lititz, Pa. / Warwick) converted two free position shots in the first six minutes to get the Eagles on the board. Elizabethtown scored the final six goals of the game to complete the score line. 

Isabella Medaris (Monroe, Conn. / Masulk) had 11 saves in net for the Eagles.  

Juniata travels to Susquehanna, Wednesday at 4:00.
