Women's Lacrosse Tabbed Eighth in Landmark Preseason Poll

TOWSON, Md.- The Juniata women's lacrosse team was selected eighth in this year's Landmark Conference preseason poll.

Juniata returns a number of upperclassmen including, junior midfielder Mina Wilt (Wells Tannery, Pa. / Forbes Road). Wilt was named to the Landmark All-Conference second team and was also named to the All-ECAC first team. Wilt lead the team with a total of 51 ground balls and in draw controls with 53. She caused 47 turnovers. She also tallied seven goals and five assists for a total of 12 points. The team also returns three seniors, three juniors and four sophomores. 

Among the seniors, the Eagles return leading scorer Natalie Gibson (Annapolis, Md. / Broadneck). She lead the team with 19 goals and seven assists. Hillary Grove (York, Pa. / Central York) and Santana Mays (Parkton, Md. / Hereford) also join the senior class. The junior class includes Wilt, Allison Kincaid (Hillsborough, N.J. / Hillsborough), and Laura Goldstein (Miami, Fla. / John A. Ferguson). The sophomores include Grace Singer (Hellertown, Pa. / Saucon Valley), Sara Deetz (Gloucester City, N.J. / Gloucester City), Arielle Danchenko (Palm City, Fla. / South Fork) and goalie, Isabella Medaris (Monroe, Conn. / Masulk)

The Eagles will start off their season at Alfred on February 23rd at 3:00PM.
