SCRANTON, Pa.- The Juniata women's lacrosse team finished off their season with a tough 19-0 loss at Scranton, Saturday afternoon.
The Royals scored five goals in the opening 10 minutes as they took control early. Scranton tallied another four goals to push their lead to nine. Arielle Danchenko (Palm City, Fla. / South Fork HS) had a free position shot stopped with 14 and a half minutes to go in the half. Scranton scored four more goals before the half, leading the Eagles 13-0.
The Royals scored two more goals in the first ten minutes of the second half. With 20 minutes left in the game, Lauren Rowe (Selinsgrove, Pa. / Selinsgrove Area HS) had a free position shot stopped. The Royals went on to score five more goals.
