Greyhounds Deny Eagles

Bethlehem, Pa.- The Juniata women's lacrosse team had a tough start to Landmark Conference play with a 19-0 loss at Moravian, Saturday afternoon.

The Greyhounds scored nine goals in the opening 10 minutes as they took control early. Moravian tallied another four goals to push their lead to 13. Zoe Fishter (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) had a free position shot blocked with nine and a half minutes to go in the half. Moravian led 17-0 at the break.

The Greyhounds scored back to back goals in the first five minutes of the second half. With fourteen minutes left in the game, Mina Wilt (Wells Tannery, Pa./Forbes Road) had her free position shot stopped. The Eagle defense did not concede a goal over the final 25 minutes of the game.

Juniata returns to action Monday against Hood at 5:00.
