QUEENSTOWN, Md.- The Juniata women's golf team placed fifth in the Landmark Preview with a final score of 424.
The second day of the Landmark Preview was canceled due to rainy conditions.
Amoroso's first place finish is the Juniata women's golf team first solo win at a Landmark event in program history. The team's fifth place finish is also the best team finish at a Landmark event in program history.
Sofia Amoroso (West Chester, Pa. / -) took first with a score of 86, Demma Franklin (Lewistown, Pa. / Mifflin County HS) finished 22nd with a score of 111, and Ellie Miller (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Mechanicsburg) finished 23rd with a score of 112. Claire Alfree (Mercersburg, Pa. / James Buchanan HS) finished 24th with a score of 115 and Alexis Zazvrskey (Northern Cambria, Pa. / Bishop Carroll HS) finished 25th with a score of 116.
The team returns to the golf course, Monday October 28th to compete in the Cabrini Fall Invitational.
