Women's Basketball Slotted Sixth in Landmark Preseason Poll

TOWSON, Md.- The Juniata women's basketball team was picked sixth in the 2018-19 Landmark Conference preseason poll after finishing with an overall record of 23-6 in the 2017-18 season.

Juniata received 27 points, placing them behind Drew (33), Moravian (42), Catholic (46), Elizabethtown (50), and Scranton (70). The Eagles sit ahead of Susquehanna and Goucher. 

Top returners for Juniata include, sophomore, Gracie Stauffer (Loysville, Pa. / West Perry) and senior, Kaeana Rebert (Hanover, Pa. / South Western). Stauffer appeared in all 29 games for the Eagles and had her first career start against Goucher (2/14). She totaled 180 total rebounds, 34 assists, and 20 steals last season. Rebert appeared in 25 games for the Eagles, with three starts. She totaled 36 rebounds, 14 assists, and five steals. Rebert had a season high 14 points against Goucher (2/14). 

The Eagles start off their season Saturday, November 10th. They will travel to Messiah for a 7:00PM tip-off.
