HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The women's basketball team is now ranked 18th in this weeks D3hoops.com top 25 poll after being ranked 20th last week.

The Eagles currently sit at 9-0 overall and 1-0 in the Landmark Conference. Monday evening, Juniata defeated LaRoche College 84-53 after senior Dani Atkinson (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Catholic) reached 1,000 points in her career. Atkinson had a game high 15, Rachael Anstine (York, Pa./Dallastown) had 10 points and six rebounds while Carmella Bickel (Elysburg, Pa./Lourdes Regional) added 10 points off the bench. So far this season, Atkinson continues to lead the Eagles with 16.9 points per game while Morgan Instone (Johnstown, Pa. / Bishop McCort) is averaging 12.4. Instone also leads the team in rebounds per game with 7.4. 

The Eagles return after Christmas to host their Holiday Tournament, where they will play St. Lawrence, December 29th at 4:00.
