TOWSON, Md.- Juniata women's basketball standout Dani Atkinson (Lancaster, Pa. / Lancaster Catholic) was named Landmark Conference athlete of the week.

Senior guard Atkinson, assisted the Eagles in three wins in the women's basketball first week of play for the season. She scored 19 points and added three steals in the Eagles first game of the season against Dickinson. Over the weekend the Eagles travelled down to Randolph-Macon College for the R-MC Tip-Off Classic. In the Eagles first game of the tournament against the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets, Atkinson had 20 points, five steals, and three assists. With just five seconds left of the game against the Yellow Jackets the game was 63-62. Then with just two seconds left Atkinson was fouled and then sunked both free throws to make the final score 65-62. In the Eagles final game of the tournament against Bridgewater College, Atkinson had 19 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Atkinson was then named to the R-MC All-Classic Team. 

Juniata will play next at Saint Vincent on Saturday the 25th at 2:00.
