Hnatuck, McDonald Named to Landmark All-Decade Team

TOWNSON, Md. - In celebration of the Landmark Conference's 10-year anniversary, the conference announced its All-Decade Team for women's basketball. The team features two Juniata players, Jen Hnatuck and Kate McDonald.

Both Hnatuck and McDonald contributed to the 2011 Landmark Champion team. Hnatuck, a senior, earned player of the week honors after her 15-point game in the semifinals against Catholic and her 12-rebound performance in the finals against Scranton. In the same semifinal game, McDonald, a freshman, pulled down 13 rebounds, breaking the Juniata record for rebounds in a conference tournament game.

In Hnatuck's time as an Eagle, she was a two-time Landmark Conference First Team member and a Second Team member as a freshman. Hnatuck earned All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors from D3hoops both her freshman and junior year. In her senior year, she was named the Landmark Player of the Year. The forward is the third-highest scoring Eagle with 1,384 career points, including 409 points in the 2009-10 season alone. Her 909 career rebounds are currently fourth in the Juniata record book and her 82 blocked shots are seventh.

McDonald, the Eagles' current assistant coach, was in the Juniata uniform from 2010-2014. In her four years, she was a three-time Landmark Conference First Team member, a two-time Landmark Defensive Player of the Year, a Second Team selection and the Landmark Rookie of the Year. As a sophomore, the forward largely contributed to Juniata's undefeated regular-season conference play. McDonald also earned D3hoops.com's All-Mid-Atlantic Team and All-Region honors. She is second in Juniata program history in points (1,452) and rebounds (1,095) and is fourth in assists (339) and blocked shots (94).
