THE HEADLINE: The Eagles fall to 0-2 on the season with a 77-43 loss to #6 St. Thomas (Minn.) at the McDaniel Tip Off Tournament Nov. 18.
THE STARTERS:

FIRST HALF: Atkinson (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Catholic) hit the first jumper of the game four minutes into the first quarter to put the Eagles on the board and making the score 8-2. However, the Tommies were able to pull ahead and finish the first quarter leading 24-8.
Freshman Veronica Cosmopolis (Lima, Peru/Colegio Carmelitas) made her first collegiate bucket with a jump shot five minutes into the second quarter to make the game 34-16 St. Thomas. The second quarter ended 42-21 in the Tommies' favor.
SECOND HALF: Bailey Swogger (Tyrone, Pa./Bellwood-Antis) recorded eight points for the Eagles in the third quarter. Freshman Suzy Badorf-England (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) made a layup with a minute left to record her first collegiate points.
Despite the offensive efforts of the Eagles, St. Thomas won game one of the tournament 77-43.
KEY PERFORMERS: Swogger scored a team-leading 15 points off the bench. She made five of her 11 field goal attempts and five of her seven free throw attempts. Swogger and Sarah Sherman (Lansdale, Pa./Methacton) equaled ten rebounds, five each.
WHAT'S NEXT?: On day two of the McDaniel Tip Off Tournament, the Eagles play on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m.
