HUNTINGDON, Pa., Senior Kelsey Livoti (Altoona, PA / Bishop Guilfoyle) ended her collegiate career with a 15-point Senior Day performance in an 86-78 loss to Moravian on Sunday to reach 1,000 in her career. After scoring 14-points against Catholic on Wednesday, she needed all 15 points to hit the mark, becoming just the 14th Eagle in program history to do so.

Nearly 10 minutes into the second half, Livoti made a layup to cross the 1,000-point threshold and put her team up 62-56. Olivia Halfpenny (McVeytown, PA / Mifflin County) dished to Livoti under the net and the forward finished the play to give her team a six-point lead. She joins head coach Danny Young-Uhrich '00 ( 1045) and assistant Kate McDonald '14 (1452) on the all-time list. "Anytime somebody scores one thousand points it is a huge accomplishment and a testament to the kid," said coach Danny Young-Urich. "Making buckets is not easy. She didn't really have great production her freshman year, so this is taking into consideration three solid years. We as a program are proud of that accomplishment, this is definitely something that she needs to be proud of." Head coach of the men's team Greg Curley offered, "We are all very excited for Kelsey and her accomplishment. What an amazing way to score your 1,000th point! The second half of your last game, talk about taking it down to the wire. We were all counting down the points and it added to what was a very good game. In the end, it was great to see her reach such a special milestone at home and in front of her family and friends."

Discussing the accomplishment, Livoti exclaimed, "It was a great feeling. I really cut it close there. I got it on the dot, but I guess that's all that counts, getting that milestone.  I didn't even know that was even possible for me until the middle of the season, and then I started to feel some pressure. Especially in that last game, it being my last chance to do it, but I got exactly the 15 I needed", adding, "It was a great feeling to do it out there with my team. Even though it was a loss, it was a great effort. Through the first half, I was really having fun out there with my teammates, and the fact that it was Senior Day made it even more special."

Livoti did not appear in the starting lineup until her sophomore year, putting up eight points in a 68-64 win in the season opener at St. Vincent. Since then, she has started every game the Eagles have played in. During her junior campaign, she scored a career-high 27 points against Frostburg State. She had 23 points in a win over Drew earlier in the season and scored the winning basket with three seconds left on the clock against Catholic on January 21st. This season, Livoti averaged 13.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 25.4 minutes on the court for Juniata.
