HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata College women's basketball team fell 76-52 Saturday night to the University of Scranton in Landmark Conference action.  Juniata (9-10, 2-6 Landmark) had three finish in double-figure points.  Scranton improved to 16-3 overall, 8-1 in Landmark play.

The Eagles were led by freshman Olivia Halfpenny (McVeytown, Pa./Mifflin County). She finished with a team-high 12 points.  Senior Jordan Hileman (Williamsburg, Pa.Williamsburg) and sophomore Paige Dennison (East Berlin, Pa./Bermudian Springs) also earned double-figure points, dropping 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Scranton shot over 48 percent as a team and jumped out to a 19 point lead at the end of the first half.  Juniata started the second half strong with an 11-0 run to pull within eight (36-28), but the Lady Royals found their rhythm to push the lead out and earn the win.

Juniata returns to action this Wednesday, Feb. 5 as they host Catholic University.  They fell to the Cardinals earlier this year 67-59 on the road.  The Eagles are 9-7 all-time against Catholic.
