HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College junior Natalie Glinsky (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) logged her first career double-double while classmate Jordan Speck (Huntingdon, Pa./Southern Huntingdon) drained a game-high 17 points to lead the 15th-ranked Eagles to a 79-50 Landmark Conference women's basketball victory over Goucher College, Friday night at the Decker Sports & Recreation Center. 

Glinsky finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds for the double-double, shooting 6-of-14 from the floor. Her 10 boards were part of the Eagles' 53 rebounds on the night – 27 of which were offensive rebounds – as Juniata dominated the glass.

Goucher managed just 25 total rebounds, one less than Juniata's defensive rebound tally of 26.

Speck was 7-of-16 from the field, including a pair of 3-pointers, while Ashton Bankos (York, Pa./York Catholic) and Jordan Hileman (Williamsburg, Pa./Williamsburg) matched Glinsky with 12 points each.

Kate McDonald (Pennsylvania Furnace, Pa./State College Area) had a game-high 11 rebounds, but just missed the double-double with nine points.

Juniata (14-1, 4-0 Landmark) clung to a five-point lead at the break, extended in the first half's waning seconds thanks to a Meagan Raville (McSherrystown, Pa./Delone Catholic) jumper.

The Eagles blew the game wide open starting at the 12:32 mark of the second half. Leading 50-42, Alix Sellers' (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) jumper from the paint extended the Juniata lead to 10 points, and triggered a 17-0 Eagle run. Sellers tallied six points during the Juniata surge while Speck scored nine points on a pair of buckets and a 3-pointer, as the Eagles dominated play.

The Gophers were held scoreless for nearly eight minutes, finally breaking the scoring drought on a Sherlanda Buskey 3-pointer with 4:52 showing on the game clock. The Goucher bucket still left Juniata with a 22-point lead, 67-45, and the Gophers would add just three more points over the remainder of the game.

Juniata's lead reached its widest at 79-48 with 1:17 remaining, following a Speck layup.

The Eagles shot 44 percent for the game including an impressive .463 (19-of-41) in the second half. Defensively, Juniata clamped down on Goucher in the second stanza and held the Gophers to just 8-of-26 (.308) shooting from the floor.

Sharnell Huff paced Goucher (3-11, 0-4 Landmark) with 15 points off the bench, while Elizabeth von Ende led the Gopher starters with 10 points and four steals. 

Juniata returns to the hardwood on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 p.m., when it travels to Washington, D.C., to face Catholic University of America.
