Softball Selected Seventh in Landmark Preseason Poll

TOWSON, Md.- The Juniata softball team was selected seventh in this season's Landmark Conference preseason poll.

Moravian takes the top spot in the preseason poll as they are seated first with 57 points, behind them is Scranton (44), Susquehanna (36), Catholic (24), Drew (14), Elizabethtown (13), and then Juniata with eight points.

This season the Eagles are returning four seniors, among them second team All-Conference selection Abby Ebright (Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin East HS). Ebright had a career high of 28 runs batted in and seven doubles last season. She totaled 31 hits and scored eight runs which included two home runs. She also recently hit her 100th career hit against Lebanon Valley. She had a fielding percentage of .922 and had a career high of six double plays. The other seniors include, Amy Chen (Philadelphia, Pa. / Science Leadership Academy), Kelsey Doell (Langhorne, Pa. / Doane Academy), and Alyssa Fasolo (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona Area HS)

The Eagles are also bringing back three juniors; Molly Ulrich (Homer, N.Y. / Homer Central), Alyssa "Sheddy" Shedlock (State College, Pa. / State College), and Anna Baran (Tyrone, Pa. / Tyrone). The returning sophomores include; Erin Pfeffer (Camp Hill, Pa. / Trinity High School) and Ashley Clark (Saxton, Pa. / Tussey Mountain)

The Eagles will start off their season on March 10th at The Spring Games in Clermont, Fla. Their first game they will face Bridgewater St. at 11:45AM.
