Softball’s Dennison Selected to Landmark First Team

TOWSON, MD- The Landmark All-Conference team for softball was announced today and Juniata had one representative. Sophomore utility player Paige Dennison (East Berlin, PA/Bermudian Springs) was named to the First Team. She is the first Eagle to earn First Team honors since 2010.

 

Dennison turned in a solid sophomore campaign for Juniata. She played in all 36 games primarily at first and second base. She hit .387 with a .492 on base percentage and a .651 slugging percentage. Both of those ranked third in the Landmark. In 106 at-bats, Dennison had a team-leading 41 hits with nine doubles, five triples, and three homeruns. Her five triples led the Landmark. She scored 25 runs and had 17 runs batted in. She was also speedy on the base paths with her 16 stolen bases that ranked second in the conference. In conference play, Dennison hit .457 with a .558 on-base percentage and slugged .771.

 

Dennison had 10 multi-hit performances during the season. She had three three-hit games, which included a 3-for-4 performance against Drew where she hit a homerun and a double to account for two runs scored and two runs batted in as the Eagles defeated the Rangers 8-5.

 

In the field, Dennison turned five double plays and had 168 putouts. She sported a .958 fielding percentage
