Men's Cross Country Earns Highest USTFCCCA DIII Regional Ranking

NEW ORLEANS, La.- The Juniata men's cross country team earned its highest USTFCCCA DIII regional ranking going into the 2019 season. The Eagles were ranked eighth.

"We are obviously excited about the upcoming season with the men, said Head Cross Country and Track & Field coach Jon Cutight. "Eighth represents our highest ranking ever, and we hope to live up to that through the course of the season. We have a great schedule that should prep us to run well in the big meets at the end, and hopefully improve on this ranking." 

Conference rival, Elizabethtown also joins Juniata in the preseason ranking as the Blue Jays are ranked fourth. 

The rankings for the Mideast Region are as follows:

  3. Haverford
  4. Elizabethtown
  5. Dickinson
  6. Stevenson
  7. Messiah
  8. Juniata 
  9. Widener
  10. York (PA.)

The Eagles open up their season at the St. Francis Opener on August 30th.
