Two Eagles Place in the Top Ten at Moravian Invitational

Northampton, Pa. - Conor Dimond and Nicholas Simpson finish at the front of the pack at the Moravian Invitational on Friday, Sept. 16. Majority of Juniata's runners crossed the finish line in the first half of the 67 contestants.

Dimond (Summerhill, Pa./Forest Hills) finished in fifth place with time of 26:52.96. His personal record is 20 seconds off from his performance today (26:32.1). The senior placed 14th at the Bison Open on Sept. 2, the best for the Eagles that evening. With a time of 27:00.65, Simpson (Silvery Spring, Md./Albert Einstein) placed seventh.

Freshmen Desmond O'Donovan (Philadelphia, Pa./Science Leadership Academy) and Evan Ulrich (Homer, N.Y./Homer Senior High) were the next to finish for the Eagles. O'Donovan placed 15th with a time of 27:16.22. Ulrich placed 17th shortly after with a time of 27:27.49.

Peter D'Amico (Hummelstown, Pa./Hershey HS), Evan MacMullin (Haverhill, Mass./St. John's Prep), Petro Sokirniy (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Upper Moreland), Andrew Meci (Woodstock, N.Y./Onteora), and Alexander Jones (Burlington, N.J./Burlington Township) all finished within thirty seconds of each other, ending in places 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23, respectively.

Up next, the men's cross country team travels to the Lock Haven Invitational on Sept. 24.
