Men’s Cross Country Picked Third in Landmark Preseason Poll

TOWSON, MD.- The Landmark Conference announced its Men's Cross Country Preseason Poll on Wednesday morning. Juniata was selected third overall.

The Eagles received a total of 44 points and were three points behind second place Susquehanna (47). Defending champion Elizabethtown was tabbed first with 68 points. JC had one first place vote in the poll.

Juniata will be led this year by seniors Conor Dimond (Summerhill, Pa./Forest Hills) and Nick Simpson (Silver Spring, Md./Albert Einstein). Dimond was a Second Team Landmark selection last year and was 14th at last year's championships. Simpson was 15th and just missed out on an All-Conference selection. Fellow senior Ryan Bogdan (Buffalo, N.Y./Canisius) also returns after not competing last year. A talented group of incoming freshman will help to bolster the team's chances of a Landmark Championship.

The Eagles begin their 2016 season on September 2 at the Bison Open. Start time is at 6:40 p.m.
