Men's Volleyball Earns Four CVC All-Conference Selections

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men's volleyball team earned four places on the Continental Volleyball Conference All-Conference team this season. The Exeter Township High School Senior trio of Reese Ganter, Tyler Goldsborough, and Luke Hoffman all placed on the first team, while sophomore Tyler Phillips placed on the second team.

Setter Reese Ganter earns his third All-CVC selection and follows up two second-team appearances with his first time on the first team. Ganter is averaging the most assists per set in Division III men's volleyball (10.82), and he is guiding the Eagles offense to the seventh-best hitting percentage (.313) in DIII and the second-best in the CVC. Earlier this season, Ganter eclipsed 3000 career assists against Marymount in March, the program's sixth setter to achieve the mark.

Outside hitter Tyler Goldsborough marks a fourth career slot on the All-CVC Team, and he earns a first-team place for the first time. He previously earned third-team honors in 2021 and was on the second-team in 2022 and 2023. He ended the regular season with the second-most aces per set (0.53), third-most kills per set (3.49), and fifth-best hitting percentage (.340) in the CVC. The 0.53 aces per set is 20th in DIII men's volleyball. Against Marymount in March, he hit his 1000th career kill, while against Wilkes this weekend, he surpassed Tim Shawaryn '98's 142 career aces to set a new Juniata program record, and he enters the tournament with 146 aces. With 49 aces on the season, he is tied for the single-season program record entering this weekend.

Middle blocker Luke Hoffman places on the All-CVC for the third time in his career after placing on the second team in 2022 and the first team in 2023. Hoffman leads the CVC in hitting percentage (.438), is third in blocks per set (0.91), and ranks tenth in aces per set (0.37). His .438 hitting percentage is eighth in Division III, while his .91 blocks per set are the 25th-best rate in Division III men's volleyball.

Outside hitter Tyler Phillips earned a first-career All-CVC selection with his second-team nod. Phillips ranks 14th in the CVC in kills per set (2.44), while he's contributing the second-most blocks (44) for Juniata and the third-most kills (190).

The Juniata men's volleyball team enters the CVC Tournament as the #2 seed and earns a first-round bye as a result. They'll face (3) Marymount in the semifinal round this Friday, April 12th, at 5:00 pm at the neutral site of Washington and Lee University.
