Bowling, Duffy and Young Make CVC All-Conference Team

HUNTINGDON, Pa.-The Juniata men's volleyball team had four players named to the Continental Volleyball All-Conference team that was announced today.

Robert Bowling (Columbus, Ohio / Hilliard Darby) was named the all-conference first team after putting together a strong season from the right side that saw him finish fourth in the conference kills (201). He also was fourth in the CVC in points (236.5) and was named CVC Athlete of the Week once. The sophomore opposite ranks sixth in kills per set (3.24), eighth in service aces (20) and is tied for 16th in total blocks (27).

Joining him on the first team was sophomore middle Kevin Duffy (Carlisle, Pa. / Carlisle HS), who appeared on the third team as a freshman. Duffy ranks sixth in the country in hitting percentage (.420),  which is the best in the CVC. In the conference, he also ranks 13th in kills (151), 16th in kills per set (2.19), 10th in points (191), fifth in solo blocks (8), third in blocks assists (44) and total blocks (52). 

The third person to make it was senior setter Michael Young (Westlake Village, Calif. / Westlake Village), who sits seventh in the country in assists per set (10.34). His 631 assists are the second-most in the conference. 

Juniata was tied for the most players on the first team with Rutgers-Newark.
