LEXINGTON, Ky.- The Juniata men's volleyball team is ranked 9th in this week's AVCA Coaches Top-15 Poll after being ranked 10th last week.
The Eagles opened up CVC play on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, Juniata hosted Marymount (Va.) and on Saturday, Juniata hosted Randolph-Macon. The Eagles defeated Marymount (Va.), 3-0 and Randolph-Macon, 3-1.
Against Marymount (Va.), Robert Bowling (Columbus, Ohio / Hilliard Darby) totaled 12 kills (.346), six digs and two block assists and Kevin Duffy (Carlisle, Pa. / Carlisle HS) totaled 11 kills (.450) and added four block assists. Sean Cavanagh (Cranberry Twp., Pa. / Seneca Valley) added nine kills (.389) and three aces. Against Randolph-Macon, Bowling tallied 18 kills and added four block assists, Duffy and Joe Fick (Venetia, Pa. / Peters Township) totaled 11 kills each. David Hibner (Burke, Va. / Lake Braddock Secondary) added eight kills to go along with 11 total blocks.
The Eagles are on the road tonight at 8 PM against Elizabethtown for a conference game.
