Four Named to CVC All-Conference Team

HUNTINGDON, Pa.-The Juniata men's volleyball team had four players named to the Continental Volleyball All-Conference team that was announced today.

Junior outside Joe Fick (Venetia, Pa. / Peters Township) was named to the first team after a strong season that saw him finish sixth in the conference in kills with 277. He was seventh in kills per set (3.15), 10th in hitting percentage (.301), seventh in points scored (285.5) and 14th in digs (133). He twice was named CVC Player of the Week this year. 

Joining him on the all-conference first team was senior right-side Quinn Peterson (Las Vegas, Nev. / Shadow Ridge), who is making his second straight appearance on the first team. He finished 11th in the country in kills per set (3.77), 12th in points per set (4.38), second in the CVC in kills (294) and third in the conference in points (341.5). Peterson was once named CVC Player of the Week. 

Junior middle blocker David Hibner (Burke, Va. / Lake Braddock Secondary) made the all-conference third team. He finished third in the conference solo blocks (21), third in block assists (58), third in total blocks (79) and second in blocks per set (.99). 

Also making the third team is freshman middle blocker Kevin Duffy (Carlisle, Pa. / Carlisle HS). He finished tied for first in the conference in solo blocks (27), fifth in block assists (53), second in total blocks (80) and fourth in blocks per set (0.92). He also ranks sixth in the country in hitting percentage (.430).

The Eagles will take on Ramapo in the CVC Quarterfinals, Thursday at 8:00.
