LEXINGTON, Ky.- The Juniata men's volleyball team is ranked for the first time this season in the AVCA DIII Coaches Poll after starting off their season, 5-0. 

Over the weekend, the Eagles travelled to Nazareth College for the Golden Flyer Invitational. The Eagles swept the weekend going 3-0 against Nazareth, Elmira, and Medaille. 

On Friday, February 1st, Juniata defeated Nazareth, 3-1. Quinn Peterson (Las Vegas, Nev. / Shadow Ridge) tallied 16 kills along with ten digs, two solo blocks and two blocks assists. Leland Hacecky (Ashburn, Va. / Stone Bridge) totaled 12 kills and ten digs. On Saturday, the Eagles defeated Elmira and Medaille. Against Elmira, Michael Young (Westlake Village, Calif. / Westlake Village) had 40 assists, six digs, two solo blocks and a block assist. Against Medaille, Kevin Duffy (Carlisle, Pa. / Carlisle HS) tallied seven kills (.875 pct) with two solo blocks and two blocks assists. 

Young was named to the All-Tournament team after totaling 87 assists, three blocks, and eight digs across the three matches. 

The Eagles will start off conference play this Friday, February 8th at 7:00PM. They will take on No. 7 Kean.
