HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata men's volleyball standout Joe Fick (Venetia, Pa. / Peters Township)was named the Continental Volleyball Conference Player of the Week for January 28, 2019. Fick, an outside hitter, was named to the All-Tournament team after helping the Eagles to a 2-0 record; picking up wins against Daemen and Wittenberg. He is the 13th player in program history to win the honor in the CVC.
The junior totaled 27 kills and 19 digs in the two matches, averaging 4.1 points per set. He managed eight kills and nine digs, along with two blocks, in a sweep of Daemen. Fick tied a career-high with 19 kills the next day against Wittenberg, hitting a career-high.567 on 30 swings, along with 10 digs.
On the week Fick averaged 3.86 kills and 2.71 digs per set, hitting .548 while compiling 29 total points.
