Peterson Named Off the Block Preseason All-American

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata men's volleyball standout, Quinn Peterson (Las Vegas, Nev. / Shadow Ridge) has been named a 2019 Division III Off the Block Preseason All-American.

A nationwide voting committee selected 15 players to the 2019 Off the Block Division III Preseason All-American Team. The annual preseason honor that was released recognizes the NCAA Division III men's volleyball players projected to be the best in the nation during the upcoming season. Players eligible for the Preseason All-American Team had to be on an active roster of a Division III men's volleyball team. The 12-member voting committee for the preseason award was comprised of Division III men's volleyball head coaches from around the nation.

This is the fourth season that Off the Block has presented the Division III Preseason All-American Team. Off the Block is the only volleyball organization to present men's volleyball Preseason All-American Teams. Off the Block is a national award winning website that launched in 2011 and is nation's leader in college men's volleyball coverage.

A total of four student athletes from the Continential Volleyball Conference (CVC) were named an Off the Block Preseason All-American. Kean setter Ian Capp was the committee's only unanimous selection to the Preseason All-American Team, while Peterson was only one vote shy of being unanimous. The other two athletes were, Paul Clark from Southern Virginia and Sam Safley from Marymount.
