  • Six Eagles Named to CVC All-Academic Team
    June 02, 2017
    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- On Friday, the Continental Volleyball Conference announced its All-Academic Team for 2017. Representing Juniata are Sean Cavanagh (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley), Zach Guiciardi (Creighton, Pa./Deer Lakes), David Hibner (Burke, Va./Lake Braddock Secondary), Morgan Pierce (Carpinteria, Calif./Cate School), Matt Schaeffer (Mount Wolf, Pa./Northeastern), and Michael Young (Westlake Village, Calif./Westlake Village).
  • Eagles’ Season Ends in NCAA Quarterfinals

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- For the third match in a row, Juniata men’s volleyball faced a deficit and needed a comeback to win their match against Wentworth in the NCAA Quarterfinals. The Leopards would not oblige as they defeated JC 3-0 on Friday night at Blake Arean on the campus of Springfield College. The Leopards advance to play SUNY New Paltz in tomorrow’s semifinals.
  • Seeley Named AVCA Second-Team All-American

    LEXINGTON, Ky.- The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced its 14th annual AVCA Men's Volleyball Division III All-American Teams on Monday. Senior middle blocker Kyle Seeley (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) was named to the Second Team. Seeley was also a Second Team selection last season.
  • Eagles Rally to Defeat NYU 3-2 in NCAA First Round; Advance to Quarterfinals

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Staring down a 2-0 deficit against NYU in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday night, the Juniata men’s volleyball team saved its biggest comeback of the season for the right time. The Eagles rallied for a thrilling 3-2 victory in front of a packed and raucous Memorial Gym crowd to advance to the NCAA quarterfinals next Friday in Springfield, Mass.
  • DeHaven Named CVC Coach of the Year

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Continental Volleyball Conference on Wednesday announced its top individual awards for the 2017 season. Juniata head coach Glenn DeHaven was named the Coach of the Year. He joins Kevin Moore (2013) as Eagles coaches who have earned this honor from the CVC.
  • Eagles to Host NYU in NCAA First Round on Saturday

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men’s volleyball team now knows who their opponent is and where they will play in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Eagles will host the Violets of New York University on Saturday at Memorial Gymnasium.
  • Men’s Volleyball NCAA Selection Show Live Streamed On Monday

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- With their win Saturday against Eastern Mennonite in the Continental Volleyball Championship, the Juniata men's volleyball team secured the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. This would be the Eagles’ third tournament appearance.
  • Men’s Volleyball Wins Five-Set Thriller Over EMU to Claim CVC Title

    ARLINGTON, Va.- In the most fitting fashion, the 2017 Continental Volleyball Conference championship match went to five sets for the first time ever. To make it even more epic, it took more than 15 points to decide a champion. In the end, the Juniata men’s volleyball team came out on top as the Eagles recovered from a 2-1 deficit to win 3-2 and claim the CVC title.
  • Eagles Defeat Mustangs in CVC Semis; Advance to Championship Against EMU

    ARLINGTON, Va.- The Juniata men’s volleyball team was one step away from the Continental Volleyball Conference title match on Friday as it faced off against Stevenson in the semifinals. The Eagles were able to get past their first hurdle as they defeated the defending champion Mustangs 3-1 to advance to the championship.

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- On Thursday, the Continental Volleyball Conference announced its 2017 All-Conference Team. Juniata was represented by senior middle blocker Kyle Seeley (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) and sophomore outside hitter Quinn Peterson (Las Vegas, Nev./Shadow Ridge).
  • Eagles Take Down Highlanders in Straight Sets on Senior Night

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men’s volleyball ended its 2017 regular season on Saturday night with a home match against Cairn. The Eagles swept the Highlanders in straight sets 3-0.
  • Eagles Take Down Scarlet Raiders 3-0

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men’s volleyball team hosted Rutgers-Newark in the penultimate regular season game on Friday night at Memorial Gym. The Eagles took care of the Scarlet Raiders in three sets winning by scores of 25-18, 25-11, 25-21.
  • Men’s Volleyball Sweeps Alvernia to Clinch Playoff Spot

    READING, Pa.- Needing a win in their last three matches to secure a spot in the Continental Volleyball Conference Tournament, the Juniata men’s volleyball team did so with a resounding 3-0 victory over Alvernia on Wednesday night. The win, the Eagles’ fourth in a row, improves their overall record to 17-10 and their CVC record to 9-3.
  • Eagles Topple Mustangs 3-0
    March 31, 2017
    OWINGS MILLS, MD.- The last time Juniata and Stevenson met in men’s volleyball back on February 24, the two teams played four close sets with the Mustangs winning 3-1 in Huntingdon. On Friday night in Maryland, it was not nearly as close and it was the Eagles on the winning end in a 3-0 victory.
  • Eagles Take Down Royals 3-0

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata men’s volleyball hosted Eastern Mennonite on Tuesday night at Memorial Gymnasium. The Eagles were looking for payback against the Royals for their 3-1 loss back on March 18 and earned it with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 28-26) victory.
  • Juniata Splits at Home Tri-Match

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata men’s volleyball hosted Vassar and Arcadia on Saturday afternoon in a tri-match at Memorial Gymnasium. The Eagles fell to the #4 Brewers 3-0 but defeated the Knights 3-0 in the last match of the day.
  • Eagles Sweep Tomcats 3-0

    GREENVILLE, Pa.- The Juniata men’s volleyball team wrapped up its seventh straight match away from home on Tuesday night with a contest against Thiel. The Eagles took out the Tomcats in straight sets 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-17).
  • Juniata Denied by EMU; Sweeps York

    HARRISONBURG, VA.- Juniata men’s volleyball had two matches on Saturday afternoon with the highlight being a Continental Volleyball match with Eastern Mennonite. The Eagles forced a fourth set and almost went to five but host EMU would win 3-1.
  • Eagles Drop 3-0 Decision to Marymount

    ARLINGTON, Va.- Following a nearly two-week layoff, the Juniata men’s volleyball team returned to the court as they faced off against Continental Volleyball Conference rival Marymount on Friday night. The Saints got the best of the Eagles as they won by the score of 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-22).
  • Men's Volleyball Match with Alvernia Rescheduled for April 5

    HUNTINGDON, PA.- The Juniata men's volleyball match at Alvernia that was originally scheduled for March 14 has been rescheduled. The match will now be played on April 5 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Juniata Splits Five-Set Matches at Vassar

    POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.- The Juniata men’s volleyball team concluded the weekend with a pair of matches on the campus of Vassar College. The Eagles upset #11 MIT 3-2 in their first match but lost a close 3-2 decision to #6 Vassar in the final match of the afternoon.
  • Men’s Volleyball Falls to New Paltz

    NEW PALTZ, NY- In a rematch of their January 28 battle, the men’s volleyball teams of Juniata and SUNY New Paltz met once again but this time at the Hawks’ home court. The Eagles gave the Hawks a fight but it was New Paltz who came out on top with a 3-0 (25-23, 26-24, 25-17) win.
  • Eagles Clipped by Mustangs 3-1

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The score may say otherwise but Juniata and Stevenson played a tight four-set match on Friday night at Memorial Gymnasium. It was no more than a three-point differential in all four sets but the Mustangs were able to defeat the Eagles 3-1.
  • Eagles Fend off Tomcats 3-1

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men’s volleyball team found themselves in a battle with Continental Volleyball Conference rival with Thiel on Tuesday night at Memorial Gymnasium. The Tomcats took the first set but the Eagles came back to win the next three and claimed a 3-1 victory.
  • Young Named CVC Player of the Week

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- For the third time this season, a Juniata men’s volleyball player has been named the Continental Volleyball Conference Player of the Week. The honors this week go to freshman setter Michael Young (Westlake Village, Calif./Westlake Village).

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata men’s volleyball hosted a Continental Volleyball Conference Tri-Match on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Gymnasium. In the Eagles’ first match, Juniata defeated Marymount 3-1 (29-27, 25-17, 17-25, 25-19).
  • Eagles Take Down Highlanders 3-0

    LANGHORNE, Pa.- The Juniata men’s volleyball team ended its brief two-day road trip with a visit to Eastern Pennsylvania for a match with Continental Volleyball Conference rival Cairn. The Eagles won 3-0 over the Highlanders to move to 7-4 on the season and 2-0 in the CVC.
  • Eagles Pick Up First Conference Win at Rutgers-Newark 3-0

    NEWARK, N.J.- Juniata men’s volleyball traveled to New Jersey to take on Rutgers-Newark in Continental Volleyball Conference action on Friday night. The Eagles won the first two sets and was able to outlast the Scarlet Raiders in third set as they won 3-0.

    HUNTINGDON, PA.- For the second time in this season, a member of the Juniata men’s volleyball team has been named the Continental Volleyball Conference Player of the Week. This time it is senior middle blocker Kyle Seeley (Ellicott City, Md./Howard).
  • Men’s Volleyball Sweeps Medaille at Golden Flyer Invitational

    PITTSFORD, NY- The Juniata men’s volleyball team wrapped up the two-day Golden Flyer Invitational with a match against Medaille College on Saturday. The Eagles defeated the Mavericks in straight sets 3-0 to improve to 5-4 on the season.
