Men’s Volleyball Defeats John Jay, York

NEW YORK, NY- Juniata played York and John Jay on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles easily won both matches to improve to 21-3 overall.

 

JC won 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-15) over the Cardinals. Matt Vasinko (Loyalhanna, PA/Derry Area) led the team in kills with six. Tommy Keisling (Sewickley, PA/North Allegheny) picked up seven digs.

 

The Eagles also won 3-0 (25-15, 25-10, 25-8) over the Bloodhounds. Juniata had a .415 hitting percentage which was its second-highest of the season. Paul Kuhn (York, PA/Central York), Mark Feiler (Mountville, PA/Hempfield), and Chad Albert (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) all had six kills. Keisling led again in digs with 16 which tied a season-high. Ryan Shelton (Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker) totaled 18 assists and Justin Waldorf (Eden, NY/Eden) chipped in 12.

 

Juniata hosts current #1 ranked Stevens Tech on Wednesday. Match time will be at 6 p.m. at Memorial Gymnasium.
