Juniata Moves to Third Place in AVCA Poll, Still Top Ranked CVC Team

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata College men's volleyball team dropped to third in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll Tuesday.  The Eagles have been in the top three all season long.  They earned 168 points, beating out Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) rival No. 4 Carthage, who finished with 160 points in the poll. 

 

Springfield College moved up from second to first in the poll with 12 first place votes and 193 points.  SUNY New Paltz also bumped up a spot, going from third to second.  They picked up one first place vote and earned 180 points.

 

MIT leapfrogged into the top five, moving from eighth place to No. 5 on the poll.  The CVC boasts four teams in the top 15.  Stevenson University moved from No. 15 up to 13 after upsetting the Eagles last weekend.  And Lakeland College dropped from 12 to No. 14.
