Lewis Earns Landmark Track Athlete of the Week honors

TOWSON, Md.- Juniata men's track and field sprinter Colson Lewis continued to set new personal and program standards, as he podiumed in the 100-meters and 200-meters at the Westminster Invitational to earn Landmark Conference Track Athlete of the Week honors for the first time in his career.  

Lewis moved up a spot in the Juniata record book with his 200-meter time of 22.17, claiming second in the event. He surpassed Ashley Mort's time of 22:43, set at the 2001 MAC Championships at Messiah. The best time in program history is 21.77, set by Randy Anderson at the 2001 MAC Championships at Widener.   

Lewis earned second place in the 100 meters with a time of 10.85, setting a new personal best. His previous best time was 10.96, set at last week's Millersville Metrics. He remains third in program history in the event.  

The Juniata men's track and field team competes in the first of two meets as they head to Shippensburg University for the Ship Mid-Week Meet on Wednesday.
