NEW ORLEANS, La. – Juniata men's track and field thrower Barrett Walters earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region Honors for the 2023 season. He earns the honor for his mark in the hammer throw this season.
Walters earned the honor following his season-best 48.38-meter throw in the event this season at the Messiah Invitational. Across six events where Walter threw in the hammer throw in 2023, he placed in the top ten each time, in the top five on five occasions, and on one the podium once as he claimed second place at the Landmark Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
All-Region honors for the 2023 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season were announced on Friday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the regular season.
Top-five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-three ranked relay team.
