Men's Track and Field Tied for Fifth in Landmark Preseason Poll

TOWSON, Md.- The Juniata men's indoor track & field team were selected tied for fifth in this season's Landmark Conference preseason poll.

Juniata finished tied for fifth with Scranton with 16 points; they sit three points behind Catholic. Susquehanna sits in third with 34 points while Elizabethtown was selected second with 45 points and one first place vote and Moravian takes the top spot with 60 points and six first place votes. 

The Eagles return two top juniors, Brenden Gardner (Muncy, Pa. / Hughesville) and Thayer Phillips (Cuddy, Pa. / South Fayette). Gardner finished third in the 60m hurdles last season at Landmark Championships. He also finished sixth in the 200m dash. Phillips placed third in the shot put and 14th in the weight throw at Landmark's last season. Juniata also returns a strong class of senior runners, Evan Ulrich (Homer, N.Y. / Homer), Vinnie Caroselli (Upland, Pa. / Milton Hershey), Peter D'Amico (Hummelstown, Pa. / Hershey), Desmond O'Donovan (Philadelphia, Pa. / Science Leadership Academy), and Evan MacMullin (Haverhill, Mass. / Saint John's Prep HS)
