Men's Track and Field Runs at Paul Kaiser Classic

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.- The Juniata men's track & field team competed in the Paul Kaiser Classic hosted by Shippensburg University, Saturday.

In the 3000m, Desmond O'Donovan (Philadelphia, Pa. / Science Leadership Academy) placed fourth finishing with a time of 8:59.96 while Evan Ulrich (Homer, N.Y. / Homer) finished behind him coming in with a time of 9:00.35. In the 800m, Andy Meci (Woodstock, N.Y. / Onteora) took seventh crossing the line at 1:58.16 while Thomas Cope (Fogelsville, Pa. / Allentown Central Catholic) placed 70th with a time of 2:25.14. 

In the 400m hurdles, Brenden Gardner (Muncy, Pa. / Hughesville) finished 11th coming in with a time of 58.06 while Malcolm MacDermid (San Francisco, Calif. / Lick-Wilmanding) finished 25th with a time of 1:04.45. 

In the 100m, Noah Zolnak (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona Area HS) finished 56th with a time of 12.10 while Daulton Snyder (New Oxford, Pa. / New Oxford) finished 60th coming in with a time of 12.35. In the 1500m, Steven Glodek (Amberton, Pa. / Fannett-Metal) finished 37th (4:42.91) and Cope finished 40th (4:59.49). Evan MacMullin (Haverhill, Mass. / Saint John's Prep HS) finished 51st with a time of 24.50 and Zolnak finished 64th with a time of 25.30 in the 200m run. 

The Eagles placed eighth in the 4x100m relay finishing with a time of 46.35. Juniata took seventh in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:43.21. 

In the high jump, Gardner placed 18th marking 1.77m. Snyder placed 40th in the long jump marking 5.25m. In the shot put, Thayer Phillips (Cuddy, Pa. / South Fayette) placed 18th marking 12.75m. Phillips placed 14th in the discus marking 40.90m. In the hammer throw, Phillips placed 25th marking 36.51m. 

Juniata finishes up the regular season next weekend in the Landmark Championships hosted by Goucher.
