Eagles Compete at Widener Invitational

CHESTER, Pa.- The Juniata men's track & field team competed at the Widener Invitational, Saturday.

In the 1500m, Evan Ulrich (Homer, N.Y. / Homer) placed 19th with a time of 4:04.98, Andy Meci (Woodstock, N.Y. / Onteora) placed 27th with a time of 4:06.43, Desmond O'Donovan (Philadelphia, Pa. / Science Leadership Academy) placed 58th with a time of 4:14.83, and Thomas Cope (Fogelsville, Pa. / Allentown Central Catholic) placed 103rd with a time of 4:50.68. 

In the 110m hurdles, Brenden Gardner (Muncy, Pa. / Hughesville) finished 12th coming in with a time of 16.73. In the 400m, Evan MacMullin (Haverhill, Mass. / Saint John's Prep HS) finished 32nd crossing the line at 52.19. In the 100m, Daulton Snyder (New Oxford, Pa. / New Oxford) finished 60th (12.19) while Noah Zolnak (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona Area HS) finished 62nd (12.29). 

In the 800m, Ulrich finished 64th (2:02.12), O'Donovan finished 80th (2:05.72), and Cope finished 108th (2:20.59). In the 400m hurdles, Gardner finished 13th with a time of 58.96 and Malcolm MacDermid (San Francisco, Calif. / Lick-Wilmanding) finished 17th with a time of 1:01.50. Zolnak finished 55th coming in with a time of 24.74 and Snyder finished 57th coming in with a time of 24.93 in the 200m run. 

In the 3000m steeplechase, Steven Glodek (Amberton, Pa. / Fannett-Metal) placed 22nd clocking in at 11:14.51. In the 4x400m relay the Eagles placed 12th with a time of 3:37.44. 

In the field, Thayer Phillips (Cuddy, Pa. / South Fayette) placed 10th marking, 12.43m. In the hammer throw, Phillips placed 19th marking 39.67m. In the long jump, Snyder placed 37th marking 5.15m. In the discus, Phillips placed sixth marking 42.41m. 

Juniata will compete in the Paul Kaiser Invitational hosted by Shippensburg on April 27th.
