Men's Track and Field Goes into Day Two of Landmark Championships in Fourth Place

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Juniata men's track and field team is currently in fourth place after the first day of the Landmark Track and Field Championships.

Evan Ulrich (Homer, NY/Homer) was the top finisher for the Eagles with his first-place performance in the 10,000m race, running a time of 32:43.94. Desmond O'Donovan (Philadelphia, Pa./Science Leadership Academy) followed in fourth place (33:33.79) while Kevin Schofield (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand) placed sixth (33:52.86). 

In the field, Thayer Phillips (Cuddy, Pa./South Fayette) took second in the discus event with a throw measuring 41.25m.

Alexander Jones (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) placed eighth in the 1500m race with a time of 4:03.86. Andrew Meci (Woodstock, NY/Onteora) trailed in tenth place (4:08.31).

The Eagles return to competition tomorrow for the second day of the Landmark Championships.
