Men's Track & Field Tabbed Fourth in Preseason Poll

TOWSON, Md.- The Juniata men's outdoor track & field team was selected fourth in this year's Landmark Conference preseason poll.

Juniata finished six points behind Susquehanna, while Elizabethtown is 13 points ahead of the Riverhawks receiving one first place vote. Moraivan sits at the top with 60 points and six first place votes. 

Last outdoor season, the Eagles took third place at the Landmark Championship meet and they hope to improve on their results from last year. Sophomore, Evan Ulrich (Homer, N.Y. / Homer) led the pack in the 10,000 meter run for a first place finish with a time of 33:10.30. Ulrich also took third place in the 5,000 meter run finishing with a time of 15:34.40. Desmond O'Donovan (Philadelphia, Pa. / Science Leadership Academy) took fourth place in the 3,000 meter with a time of 10:17.16. Also freshman standout, Brendan Gardner (Muncy, Pa. / Hughsville) from the indoor season will be competing in hurdles. 

On the field side of things at last year's championship meet, senior Storm Fridinger (Shippenburg, Pa. / Shippensburg) placed third in the high jump while John Randolph (Jonestown, Pa. / Northern Lebanon) placed fourth in the javelin.  

The Eagles will compete in their first outdoor meet of the season on March 24th as they will host the Juniata Invitational.
