Fridinger and Distance Medley, Top Finishers for the Eagles at the Susquehanna Invitational

SELINSGROVE, Pa.- The Juniata men's track & field team competed at the Susquehanna Invitational, Friday. 

Storm Fridinger (Shippenburg, Pa. / Shippensburg) took second place in the high jump (1.83m). The men's distance medley placed second finishing with a time of 10:51.63. 

In the 60 meter hurdles, Brenden Gardner (Muncy, Pa. / Hughsville) took fourth place in finals with a time of 9.12. In the one mile run, Peter D'Amico (Hummelstown, Pa. / Hershey), Ben Martin (New Holland, Pa. / Garden Spot), Lucas Simpson (Silver Spring, MD / Albert Einstein), and Steven Glodek (Amberton, Pa. / Fannet-Metal) placed 10th (4:37.46), 16th (4:44.18), 23rd (4:55.45), and 27th (5:08.47), respectively. 

Andy Meci (Woodstock, N.Y. / Onteora) finished 20th in the 400 meter dash coming in with a time of 56.65. Alexander Jones (Burlington, N.J. / Burlington Township), Desmond O'Donovan (Philadelphia, Pa. / Science Leadership Academy), Simpson, and Glodek placed 10th (2:05.50), 22nd (2:08.88), 30th (2:19.75), and 34th (2:27.61) respectively in the 800 meter run. In the 200 meter dash, Gardner placed eighth (24.00) while Fridinger placed 11th (24.07). 

In the 3,000 meter run, Vinnie Caroselli (Hershey, Pa. / Milton Hershey) placed fourth with a time of 9:08.18 while Kevin Schofield (Madison, Conn. / Daniel Hand) placed fifth with a time of 9:15.10. 

On the field side of things, Thayer Phillips placed 16th in the weight throw, throwing 9.89m. In the shot put, Daniel Fernandez (Oxford, Pa. / New Oxford) and Phillips placed ninth and 13th respectively. John Randolph (Jonestown, Pa. / Northern Lebanon) took 16th place in the long jump (5.61m). 

The Eagles will return to action February 24th for Landmark Conference Championships at Susquehanna.
