Mens Track & Field Competes at Susquehanna Challenge

SELINSGROVE, Pa.- The Juniata men's track & field team competed at the Susquehanna Indoor Challenge, Saturday.

In the 3,000 meter run, the Eagles had four representatives. Desmond O'Donovan (Philadelphia, Pa. / Science Leadership Academy) (9:10.39), Alexander Jones (Burlington, N.J. / Burlington Township) (9:15.79), Peter D'Amico (Hummelstown, Pa. / Hershey) (9:20.59), and Ben Martin (New Holland, Pa. / Garden Spot) (9:23.95) finished 10th, 11th, 12th, and 14th respectively in the 3,000 meter run. 

In the 60 meter hurdles, Brenden Gardner (Muncy, Pa. / Hughsville) placed 8th with a time of 9.30. In the 400 meter dash, Evan MacMullin (Haverhill, Mass. / Saint John's Prep HS) placed 30th with a time of 57.90. In the 60 meter dash, Ian Harpel (Lititz, Pa. / Warwick) finished 36th with a time of 7.71. In the one mile run, Kevin Schofield (Madison, Conn. / Daniel Hand) finished 13th (4:38.30), Lucas Simpson (Silver Spring, MD / Albert Einstein) finished 32nd (5:07.49), Perry Willig (Redwood City, Calif. / Bellarmine High School) finished 33rd (5:08.06), and Steven Glodek (Amberton, Pa. / Fannet-Metal) finished 35th (5:12.84). 

In the 800 meter run, Andy Meci (Woodstock, N.Y. / Onteora) finished 20th (2:05.81), Simpson finished 43rd (2:17.49), Willig finished 53rd (2:24.52), and Glodek finished 55th (2:25.46). In the 200 meter dash, Harpel finished 9th (24.05), Fridinger finished 16th (24.38), and MacMullin finished 57th (27.06). Vinnie Caroselli (Hershey, Pa. / Milton Hershey) took 14th place in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 16:22.11. 

On the field side of things, Storm Fridinger (Shippenburg, Pa. / Shippensburg) (1.83m) placed seventh while John Randolph (Jonestown, Pa. / Northern Lebanon) (1.73m) placed 12th in the high jump. Randolph jumped 5.53m in the long jump taking 20th. In the shot put, Daniel Fernandez (Oxford, Pa. / New Oxford) placed 24th and threw 11.64m. 

The Eagles return to action February 16th for the Susquehanna Invitational.
