Men's Track & Field Completes Bison Open & Multi

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Juniata men's track & field team completed day two of the Bison Open & Multi at Bucknell on Saturday.

Alexander Jones (Burlington, N.J. / Burlington Township) was the top finisher for the Eagles. Jones was seventh in the 1,000 meter run recording a time of 2:40.73 and he placed 16th in the one mile run recording a time of 4:31.64. In the 1,000 meter run, Jones moved into the third spot on the all time top performers list. 

In the 60 meter dash, Ian Harpel placed 46th with a time of 7.61 while Storm Fridinger (Shippenburg, Pa. / Shippensburg) placed 61st with a time of 7.73. In the 400 meter dash, Fridinger finished ahead of Harpel. They finished 43rd (54.98) and 46th (55.28) respectively. Andy Meci (Woodstock, N.Y. / Onteora) finished 19th recording a time of 1:13.48. 

In the 1,000 meter run, Jones, Desmond O'Donovan (Philadelphia, Pa. / Science Leadership Academy), Ben Martin (New Holland, Pa. / Garden Spot), Vinnie Caroselli (Hershey, Pa. / Milton Hershey), and Peter D'Amico (Hummelstown, Pa. / Hershey) placed seventh (2:20.73), 12th (2:47.57), 13th (2:47.70), 15th (2:48.78), and 17th (2:51.34) respectively. 

In the one mile run, Jones, D'Amico, Caroselli, O'Donovan, Meci, and Martin placed 16th (4:31.64), 26th (4:40.02), 27th (4:41.16), 28th (4:41.78), 31st (4:44.59), and 32nd (4:48.94) respectively. 

On the field side of things, Fridinger placed 16th in the high jump recording 1.79m. 

The Eagles return to action February 3rd for the S.U. Challenge at Susquehanna.
