LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Juniata men's and women's track and field team completed day one of two in the Bison Open & Multi at Bucknell University, Friday evening.
Azia Kalil (Methuen, Mass. / Methuen HS) was the top finisher of the night for the Eagles. Kalil finished 14th in the 5,000 meter run coming in with a time of 19:08.78. On the men's side, Kevin Schofield (Madison, Conn. / Daniel Hand) was the top finisher for the Eagles. Schofield finished 17th in the 5,000 meter run coming in with a time of 16:04.95.
In the 60 meter hurdles, Meadow Walshaw-Wertz (Sunbury, Pa. / Line Mountain) finished 22nd (10.31) while Jennifer Roxby (Salix, Pa. / Forest Hills) finished 27th (10.68). Brenden Gardner (- / Hughsville) finished 21st in the 60 meter hurdles coming in with a time of 17.46. Finally in the 200 meter dash, Gardner finished 48th coming in with a time of 24.07. Walshaw-Wertz finished 61st (29.04) and Roxby finished 72nd (30.75) in the 200 meter dash.
Kalil and Schofield both set personal records in the 5,000 meter run while Gardner and Roxby set personal records in the 200 meter dash.
The Bison Open & Multi at Bucknell University continues tomorrow starting at 10am.
